During the second week of August in Sauvé Park,
the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield Art Festival presents an artistic
and gastronomic happening, all in a garden party atmosphere.
Sponsored by the Caisse Notre-Dame de Bellerive and in association
with the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield and the Musée
des Deux-Rives, the Salaberry-de-Valleyfield Art Festival hosts
more than 75 artists specialized in the visual arts, those
from the region as well as from elsewhere in Quebec, to exhibit
their works and meet the public. Moreover, it is an occasion
to scintillate your taste buds thanks to the participation
of the regional agroalimentary producers. Musical performances
and animated crowd-pleasers further enhance the event. The
atmosphere is that of a festive village.
All of the activities of the Art Festival are without charge.
The local delicacies are offered at a minimal cost (.50, $1.00,
$2.00).
Open from 11:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday and from 11:00
A.M. to 5:00 P.M. on Sunday, the Valleyfield Art Festival is
a visual feast as well as a culinary treat. Don't miss the
